Yes - sorry about that. I cleaned that stuff out of the top
directory, but I forgot to check the subdirectories. When I get access
to a computer with cvs on it I'll get rid of them.

It does. Another mistake on my part. I think the gz file was the one
I originally used to transport those files to my home machine, which
doesn't have an internet connection. It can go.

They is not required either. Had I been aware that it was there I
would have removed it. That is the directory the xv image viewer (and
a couple other programs as well) uses to store thumbnails, if I recall
correctly.

I'm not quite sure what to do about that. Some distributions seem to
include it, others do not. I guess we could upload a copy and
instructions to install it. I had originally considered whether or not
we should put it in with emaxima, but now that I think about it putting
it here would be better.

Our pleasure. There is a very long way to go on this project, but I
figured that with 5.9 looming closer it was time to upload what we had
done so far, in order to make it easier for others to contribute.
