Maybe in order to avoid name clashes. It would be annoying to have
some .lisp file accidentally overwritten by a generated file of the
same name. This can easily happen if you are writing some .mac file
any you want to rewrite some functions in lisp. I find it actually
quite convenient to choose the same name in this case.
