I just built the latest maxima from CVS but the problem was still there
earlier.
Essentially, maxima cannot find its files...
Example:
I get
(C2) eigenvectors(a);
Could not find `eigen.mc' using paths in FILE_SEARCH_MAXIMA (combined values:

The strange thing though is that the file is there:

determ.usg eigeni.mac invert.mac nchrpl.dem pfaff.mac
eigen_1.dem eigen.mac invert.usg nchrpl.mac pfaff.usg
