Hi,
If you need some information immediately on getting started with Maxima,
you should certainly look at "intromax.html" which is in the "doc"
subdirectory of the (old) Maxima 5.5 windows distribution. It contains a
nice set of "useful" examples, and it helped me get started with Maxima.
