maxima-local problems

This is worth a little discussion - while I agree the Clisp people
deserve recognition that their product is being used, the Clisp banner
is rather spectacular (as ASCII goes, anyway :-) and kind of
distracting from the purpose of running maxima, i.e. to use the
program.

However, the point you raise is a compelling one, and there is another
good reason - I think it would be a good idea for the session to notify
the user what lisp is being used. Most people won't care, but for some
more intense applications the difference will matter. I proposed what
I think would be a good solution at
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=505144&group_id=4933&atid=104933

Do you think that would satisfy the various interests?
