5.9.0rc3 build failure in numerical/slatec/zbesy.lisp, gcl 2.4.3, gcc 3.2

This is my conclusion as well, and is why I don't think the recent CVS
changes to print.d will help.  Something else in CVS might, but I
cannot confirm that the problem even exists at all.
