Hi,
I followed the procedure suggested by Jim and Mike and compiled maxima
successfully on winXP. xmaxima works, although there are some problems
which I don't know if
are related to windows or are generic to 5.9.0rc3. If I try to type
something in the lower window of xmaxima and then go to edit and choose
maxima by clicking on the hole and then "mark for eval" I get an error
"list element in quotes followed by "]" instead of space" . I can not
select a region for evaluation.
if I choose "gp" it will mark a region but double clicking on it will not
do anything.
BTW it works fine in 5.51beta for windows.
