Install on Windows



I plan to put together a triage list after another day or two of reports
have come in. Most of the issues mentioned so far on the list are either
familiar or unsurprising to me.

Yours are the exceptions. I am surprised by all three problems you had:

I haven't seen a problem on any of the Windows platforms I've tried (XP,
2000 and 98). Does anyone else have this problem? 

Which platform are you on? Is it a color depth problem?

Again, I haven't seen this on any machine I've tried. Was this issue
discussed on the list at some point? Do you have any idea what the
problem could be?
