Yes. Xgraph is an unsupported program, so I don't think it is worth
expending too much effort getting maxima to work with it.

Sigh. I really hope so. I don't find any of the available plotting
packages ideal for our purposes. I could go on about this at length, but
it's really another thread.
I think gnuplot is the best option at the current time. I haven't had
time to look at the maxima connection to gnuplot in quite a while,
however.
