shouldn't we split the user interface from the maxima-kernel and provide a
convenient interface for programs, allowing others to produce nice GUIs?
XML makes it easy for a computer to handle data, and ensure that the data
structure is unambiguous also it is free and platform-independent. Especially
with MathML we would ensure possibilities to import and export to every
serious mathematical application.
