Thanks for the input. We should consider Qt/KDE when the time comes for
GUI development. I've been looking at what sorts of code is already
available, myself.

We already have some contributed MathML code. I don't think it has been
incorporated yet.

MathML isn't relevant for anything planned for 5.9.1. The release plans
may be misleading -- "new command-line system" just means the
implementation of the current command-line system will be changed so as
to work on Windows like it does on Unix.
