I understood.
it's a norm problem. If norm ||^2 is suitable,least-squares estimators is right and your result is OK.
But independent(x and w) does not mean that the space is flat,so norm ||^2 may be unsuitable.
further more,we can decide a norm freely,but ....
you should examin your hypothesis(about some flatness) with real datas.
