load('set) question

When I load('set) it reports load error:

(C1) load('set);
Load failed for /usr/local/share/maxima/5.9.0/share/misc/set.lisp
 -- an error.  Quitting.  To debug this try DEBUGMODE(TRUE);)

Is it possible to correct this?
I use POWERSET function, and it works proper for simple sets-lists.
May I hope it will work proper for more complicated (long) lists-sets?
