Scite interface anyone? Or other favourite editor?

Dear Maximagroup!

What are your favourite editor alternatives for Maxima except for TeXMacs
and Xemacs?

I am stuck in a Microsoft Environment at work, and I find xemacs too
un-standard compared with the rest of all the programs I use, and TeXMACS
did not work well when I tried it last. 

I look for syntax-checking/code-colouring and if possible an "evaluate this"
function.

What do you use?
Is there anyone who has written a Maxima scheme for Scite?
