In the RPM the I inherited and sent to the list after modifications
there is a switch "build_book" to enable/disable the production of the
maxima-book rpm.

With respect to versions of the maxima book available in the web I see
that the book that is produced from this Beta sources has at least
the minimal improvement that it matches the new prompt style (%i/%o
rather than %C/%D). I did not notice other substantial improvements,
but I did not read the book thoroughly.
