Well, interactive queries aren't too common at present --
I'd rather move in the direction of eliminating them,
or not introducing more of them, at least.
I'm not sure if a flag is called for here -- the purpose of
a flag would be to make some assertion about the argument of
a function, so maybe we can avoid introducing another flag by
using the assume system for that purpose.

That makes a lot of sense to me.
