I agree. If you decide to include wxMaxima with Windows maxima, you
should keep xmaxima also. Few things though:
- It should be easy for the user to only upgrade wxMaxima as at least
for now it is released more often than maxima.
- There is some duplication in files which could be avoided: wxMaxima
comes with its own copy of documentation because the DIR tag in the
index page breaks the wxWidgets HTML parser - I just changed it to UL to
make it work. Also some mingw library comes with both wxMaxima and
maxima.
- wxMaxima sets the HOME variable if it is empty. This is because I
think C:\Documents and Settings\Andrej Vodopivec\Maxima is a better
place for my maxima-init.lisp than C:\Maxima. But this is not compatible
with xmaxima.
