Hi Dan,
About the documentation files in share/contrib/gentran/man/,
they appear to be troff files with MS macros.
I find that "groff -ms -T ascii MANUAL.ms > MANUAL.txt"
is pretty successful -- there are a few minor blickies,
and maybe the page breaks could be suppressed, but overall
the processing seems quite successful. The manual
is dated 1985 -- Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Live Aid --
really takes me back. 8^)
groff is GNU troff -- I have it as part of a linux
distribution, but I am sure it is available for Windows too.
Should MANUAL.txt be committed to cvs ??
For what it's worth,
Robert Dodier
