Well, instead of errcatch(exp1 ou exp2); why not exp1+ou+exp2; ?
The intent seems to be to verify that "ou" is no longer
an operator -- if so, then ou should be recognized as an
ordinary variable.
Attempting to catch parsing errors is an interesting idea,
but doubtless fraught with peril ....
Incidentally I have never seen "fraught" in print except
as "fraught with peril". But my reading is mostly limited
to man pages and People magazine.
