As I mentioned previously, I provide many tensor program examples that are
available if you type demo(tensor) in Maxima.
Of course this assumes that you are using version 5.9.2. However, even if
you are using version 5.9.1, you should still be able to get the tensor
package (the contents of the share/tensor subdirectory) and install it on
your system; the package will work fine on 5.9.1. (If you are using an
earlier version of Maxima, it's strongly recommended that you upgrade to
5.9.1.)

I am Tapan. I am a PhD student in IUCAA (www.iucaa.ernet.in). I want
to use xmaxima, though I am using GRTensor in Maple, but since such
facilities is not available most Indian universities, I wants to
shift to xmaxima. I need some example programmes,
