in order to keep moving towards a 5.9.2 release, i would like to propose
that we make a cvs branch for 5.9.2.
i propose that the base of the branch be the current cvs head.
rationale: to the best of my knowledge there are no code changes
in src/ in progress at this time, and the cvs head version compiles
clean and passes run_testsuite.
(the defstruct/mset stuff is in share/ at this time.
i expect it will move into src/ after it settles.)
as to a naming convention, raymond toy wrote the following --

which sounds fine to me.
ray says he'll go ahead if this scheme gets some support from the mailing list.
