eigenvectors can't find eigen.mac

is there anything in /usr/share/maxima/5.9.1/share/ ?
this page http://packages.qa.debian.org/m/maxima.html
suggests that the share files (of which eigen.mac is one)
are packaged separately from the maxima executable.
maybe you just need to install the share package.
