Hello
how would one finds the state of a variable when using
the Inferior Maxima mode under emacs, the regular
emacs key C-h v %EDISPFLAG and
(%i179) describe("%EDISPFLAG"); does
not seem to be pulling it out, it gives the section
from the info pages about the variable but not its
state
*****************************
(%i179) describe("%EDISPFLAG");
0: %EDISPFLAG :(maxima.info)Definitions for Input and
Output.
Info from file /usr/share/info/maxima.info:%EDISPFLAG
default: [FALSE] - if TRUE, MACSYMA displays %E
to a negative
exponent as a quotient, i.e. %E^-X as 1/%E^X.
*************************
thanks
