documentation about the plot format geomview

Hi,

I would like to know where can I find documentation about the plot 
format geomview. For instances, can I just write a geomview file (a file 
that geomview can load) without starting geomview program ?

(I am trying to inspect differents surfaces and curves in 3D, hence the 
best solutions I have found is to write the differents objects in 
geomview files and then load all them with geomview).
