It seems like linear interpolation, cubical splines, akami splines,
and numerically stable linear and nonlinear least squares curve
fitting would be very good things to have in maxima. Linear and
Cubical splines would seem to be relatively easy to do in maxima and
I'm tempted to try it myself over christmas. I don't have the akami
paper so I don't know exactly how they work. As for least squares,
anyone have any suggestions about the floating point numerical
stability of lsquares.mac?
