I've uploaded to
ftp://ftp.altlinux.ru/pub/people/vvz/Maxima
two experimental Windows builds - Maxima 5.9.2 and current Maxima
5.9.2.5 CVS. Both compiled with gcl 2.6.8pre. Please test.
Unfortunately bug # 1356617 is still there.
Strange bug. If Maxima is installed not on C: drive
then cl-info:*info-paths* is perfectly OK but describe
still can't find info files.
BTW, I already observed some problems with describe
on clisp and sbcl. It seems that now describe
in Maxima CVS is completely broken - clisp 2.36,
sbcl 0.9.5 (linux). At least I can't make it work.
Gcl and cmucl both OK. I suspect that the problem is
related to Unicode support in these two lisps.
I feel that this is blocking bug for 5.9.3.
