Linux: unable to determine MAXIMA_PREFIX

Hi Robert,
 many thanks for your help; following  your advice, I checked the rpm´s 
and  found my mistake, the maxima-exec rpm was for 5.9.1 64-bit and the 
maxima was for 5.9.2 not 64-bit (I have a AMD64 processor). Now it works.
