As for Fink side, I have exchanged emails with Lars Rosengreen
who is the maintainer of the various lisp packages on Fink.
Fink package maintainers are currently a bit busy to add support
for the Mac Intel platform. One issue they are facing is that only lisp
that is supported on Mac Intel platform is the SBCL, and clisp
seems to have some issues. They may consider using SBCL for
the host lisp for the maxima binary package.
I will communicate with them to keep the Maxima package in Fink
to be up to date.
