First, are the foo-depends.mk files supposed to be checked in? On my
system, they're different from the ones in CVS because they get
generated during either configure or build.
Second, does anyone have objections to adding docstrings to functions?
This will cause the saved core file to grow, but it's really handy for
those Lisps that can actually display the docstrings. CMUCL and SBCL
do this nicely.
