installation problem in Fedora 5?

Hi all,

I have recently updated my FC4 system, and tried to install maxima on
Fedora 5, but run into a bit of a predicament.
yum install maxima seems to work fine, however, when I want to start
maxima, it aborts with the message
Unrecoverable error: fault count too high.
Aborted
After this, I uninstalled the programme, and went to the download page,
grabbed
maxima-exec-clisp-5.9.3-1.fedora1.i386.rpm and
maxima-5.9.3-1.fedora1.i386.rpm
and tried to install them by typing
rpm -ivh maxima-5.9.3-1.fedora1.i386.rpm
maxima-exec-clisp-5.9.3-1.fedora1.i386.rpm .
After this, I get
libreadline.so.4 is needed by maxima-exec-clisp-5.9.3-1.fedora1.i386,
which seems to be weird, given that readline-5.0-3.2.1 is already
installed on the system.
What else is missing for a successful installation, or is there a way
around this problem?
Are there rpms somewhere for FC 5?
Any hint would help. Thanks,
Zoltan
