Trying to learn Tensors and understand how to input tensor equations into Maxima

I'm not familiar with the books that you listed. Can you give some specific
examples of the types of equations that you'd like to enter into Maxima?

I am learning Tensors (along with GR) and Maxima.

I would like to type in a work some of the examples
from my resource books such as:

	Relativity Demystified 
		by David McMahon and Paul M. Alsing
	Schaum's Tensor Calculus
		by David C. Kay
	A First Course in General Relativity 
		by Bernard F. Schutz

So far I have been reading Victor Toth's pages
and the manual but would greatly appreciate any
pointers you can offer or advice...
