Dear Robert,
I am just thinking of applying for funding for Maxima-development
and I write to you because you are the most active replier in the mailing list
communication.
I work in teachers education in mathematics at the university and I want to
evaluate and adapt
Maxima for usage in schools and make Maxima more popular in mathematics
education.
Basic objectives:
- XML-Language File Support an easy language adaption for Maxima Newbies even
in developing countries like South Africa.
- Integration of Worksheet management in analogy to Maple with the focus on
Funding should be possible for 3 years with the possibility to do the PhD at
the university of Koblenz-Landau in Germany.
PhD-Subject is related to Maxima Project.
Maybe I will write to the whole mailing list later and asked for active Maxima
programmers, when funding comes closer to realisation.
What do you think about that idea?
best wishes,
Engelbert Niehaus
