As I indicated in private e-mail, I haven't had time yet to investigate. As
you point out, the itensor code is unchanged, so the problems are likely
side effects of changes made in other parts of Maxima. If by any chance you
were able to pinpoint which change in CVS caused the problems to emerge,
that would of course by extremely helpful.

I found that part of the functions of itensor does not work within cvs
version of maxima and even in the last release 5.9.3. They are mostly
concerned about Levi-Chevitta tensor. Some tests can be found at
tensor/tests/itest.mac. The code of the package was not changed since last
year. Everything was ok for 5.9.2 and for cvs versions dated to the very
begining of this year (at least begining of Jan). What can be a problem?
