Hi!
Then there must be a problem in either "yum"
or "yumex".
I did format my hard drive and freshly installed
FC5. Then I installed maxima and maxima-gui through
"yumex" (yum front-end).
I did not set any parameter and simply used
the graphical interface to get maxima and maxima-gui installed.
Maybe "yumex" calls "yum --no-deps"?
I tried to install "tk" and "tclx" through "yumex"
but the "wish" command was not available.
I guess "yumex" only reported to have
installed the packages but nothing was installed.
Now I have used "yum" and "tk" was really installed.
Fedora distros are testing distros and I should
stop using them.
