math blog (Re: [Maxima] imaxima-imath-0.94a is released)

Hi Robert san,

Thanks for your very encouraging comments regarding
my math blog!
I am responding to your email, cc:ing maxima mailing list
to answer your questions as you have indicated that
some on the mailing list might be interested in the
blogging of math, too.

In the recent announcement of imaxima-imath release,
I also announced my new blog for math. The url is:

http://imaxima-imath.blogspot.com/

1) Q: How does a person get access to blogspot.com?
A: blogspot.com is actually a part of Google's blogger.com
service. You can create your account by accessing:

http://www.blogger.com/

2) Q: How can a person paste images into blog text?
A: One nice thing about blogger.com is its feature of
displaying large images in the blog text. Blogger.com
has its own blog editing feature (yes, that's AJAX, too) that
allows you to place several images in one blog as I did.

3) Q: Any general comments about using a blog to present
mathematics?
A: My blog above has uniqueness in some ways:
- It shows the math calculation in Maxima session. My hope is
that the calculation can be easily repeated by trying the commands
appeared in the session with Maxima.
- Session is captured in Imaxima so that it can be edited quite
easily such as adding comments to the commands. Don't forget,
you are in Emacs!

One general comment: I really wanted to do some math and show it
on blog. Today's combination of Maxima, Imaxima with Emacs, and
blogger.com provided me a combined method to do so. I hope others
on this list may start doing math blog, too!

I will write some blog article how I create images shown in the blog
in the future.
