Need help with phrases for Spanish-language mailing list

Hello,

I'm setting up a Spanish-language mailing list for Maxima.
The Sourceforge mailing list configuration allows me to plug in
some descriptive text. I wonder if a native speaker can help me here.

description -- A short phrase (this goes in the title bar of the
subscription page)
something like "Spanish-language discussion of the Maxima computer
algebra system"

info -- some more text, something like "This is a Spanish-language mailing
list for the discussion of the Maxima computer algebra system.
Any topic related to Maxima is appropriate (help, development, bug reports,
documentation, etc)."

I can make a guess but I know it's annoying to have some text
which is off the mark.
