Maxima HTML docs - Internet Explorer problem

Hi!

Recently I reported the problem with Maxima HTML documentation
and Internet Explorer on Windows. I have tried to investigate
what is going on wrong and why. Here are some results.

The problem: on some machines with Windows 2000 and Windows XP
all examples in Maxima HTML docs are displayed in proportional
"Times New Roman" font instead of fixed-width "Courier New".
Samples of right and wrong "examples" are in the attachment.
This is very bad since the problem makes all examples with
2-d output practically unreadable.

Yesterday I've tested a dozen of different computers with
Windows XP (Russian) and Windows 2000 (English).
Three of them are affected by the problem -
two Windows XP (Russian) and one Windows 2000 (English).
I've tried to understand what precisely goes wrong on these
three machines but in vain. I've searched registry for
font substitutions or anything suspicious about
"Courier New" or "Times New Roman" fonts but found nothing.
The only theory I have that these three computers have
some common software which somehow screws up fonts in IE
(Oracle or AS400 client, I don't know ...).

The main question is what we are going to do?
I see two options:

1. Ignore the problem in the hope that it is rare.

2. Fix it. I propose to set
	font-family: Courier, monospace
    or
	font-family: "Lucida Console", monospace
    in mxima.css.

Any opinions?

With best regards,

Vadim
