plot2d malfunction in command line(Windows)

Hello!
plot2d(sin(x),[x,0,2*%pi]);  do nothing (command line), except take up 
CPU to 100% during 10 seconds. There is no problem in XMaxima. Is this a 
bug?
System: WindowsXP+SP2(5.1.2600)
