GCL on Debian derivatives install four images, ansi/cltl1, and
profiling/non-. The defaults are set with debconf. You can override
by setting the GCL_ANSI and GCL_PROF environment variables
respectively. This is all explained in the debconf notes and package
documentation.
If you would like to explain your wxmaxima issues or submit same as
bug reports to the BTS, I'd be happy to look at them. I know of
none.
Will wxmaxima ever be integrated into the maxima project proper? If
so, we should update the maxima Debian package accordingly.
