I am not aware that any lisp is more (floating-point numerically) accurate
than any other, doing ordinary double-precision arithmetic.
As far as speed, there may be other computations going on in the operating
system that interfere with the speed on linux. If the reported run-time
differs by a factor of 2 and the maxima is running with the same lisp system
on each, that would be puzzling.
