I'm aware of the following problems: SF pages are large and complex and
use javascript a lot (this makes it pretty slow to browse); annoying adverts;
widespread, long-running mailing list problems; and the SF troubleshooting
team is slow to respond (probably due to the 100 k projects to attend).
Another issue is that the UT mailing list has had its own recurring
problems. Moving to a new hosting site would give us the opportunity
to resolve that as well.
I don't have any plan to push for moving the project to another site
but I want people to know the topic has been raised and give some
info about the alternatives.
For what it's worth,
Robert
