I have a "big" matrix (25x25, which is not trivial but also not as big as some
matreices that appear sometimes in research), which is very sparse, and i
want to calculate its determinant.
with the determinant function included in maxima, it seems to try to calculate
the determinant "by brute force" without using its sparseness.
Is there any aditional function that can be used to calculate the determinant
of sparse atrices quicker?
