For the most recent couple of releases, I have put backwards-incompatible
changes at the top of the change log.
(e.g.: http://maxima.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/maxima/maxima/ChangeLog-5.12.0)
I guess I wasn't aware of the curve styles stuff.
