I've checked with autoconf 2.59 and automake 1.9.
Everything seems to be OK. BTW I have several
versions of automake 1.4, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 and
autoconf 2.13, 2.59, 2.60 and can select desired
versions at will.
