Makes sense to me. Some people prefer printed documents.
To the extent that this arrangement is allowed by the Maxima license
(GNU GPL v2), I'll say go ahead and charge whatever you want.
If you can figure out how to make money from Maxima within the
limits of the license, then I wish you all the success in the world.
You could try to identify everyone who has worked on the manual
and send them all beer, food, etc but my point is that you are not
obligated to do so, so far as I know.
