Ray, thanks for the hint.
I didn't look into the Maxima code for integration yet for two reasons: I am
not (not yet) familiar with Lisp and I thought (after reading some texts)
that computer algebra systems use very different techniques for integration,
than techniques from usual calculus textbooks.
But I'll download the sources and look there. Thanks.
