I would think that if you're going to change the the interface to a
function so that it's no longer backward compatible, you should ask on
the list.
Just because you change all uses in the maxima CVS repository doesn't
mean you haven't screwed some user's code.
This change looks fine to me, but still....
Same goes for deleting apparently unused functions. Someone might be
using it, even if maxima code doesn't.
