I run Slackware Linux. Clisp, Emacs, TeX/LaTeX are installed by default,
Maxima compiles from sources easily, but you might need to install a
couple of libraries if you want to run/compile WxMaxima. Other possibilities
are pretty much as described in other two replies ...
