I have done it. I have created a new key. But I did not get access to CVS.
cvs update: failed to create lock directory for `/cvsroot/maxima/maxima'
(/cvsroot/maxima/maxima/#cvs.lock): Permission denied
cvs update: failed to obtain dir lock in repository `/cvsroot/maxima/maxima'
cvs [update aborted]: read lock failed - giving up
Error, CVS operation failed
Perhaps I have to wait a bit longer to get new access.

Maybe you have to generate a new public/private key pair. Just a guess.
