Maxima wiki and shell server is down; can someone look into it?

Yes, I agree that a RCS should be choosen carefully.

The one issue I see with git is that it still seems somewhat problematic
on Win32 systems. Also while I'm quite fond of git I don't think maxima
really needs any of its special powers. OTOH darcs is an excellent tool
too and probably easier to understand for users with mathematical
background.

To get things started somebody might just setup a darcs mirror of our
CVS repository at common-lisp.net. (Sorry, I don't have the time to
do it now.)
